Teaser Tuesday (30)

We're very excited to be one of the many blogs participating in Teaser Tuesdays! TT is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. To participate you:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
(Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

And here is my teaser:

"'Just be you,' he says finally.

And I want to say, I am. This is me, the new, improved Jude.

But he's known me too long. So I tell him the truth. 'That's the last person on earth I want to be.'"

p. 72 (ARC) from Wonderland by Joanna Nadin

You can read Christin's review of Wonderland here.

Please leave us a comment letting us know what you think! Also, tell us your teasers...post them, or link to your blog.

  1. Oh, I like this teaser. I've been on the fence about this book, tbh. I really like the cover, too. I like how intimate this passage is. It already tells us so much about the MC while telling so little. I might lean toward reading this now!

  7. Thanks for commenting back! Check back later this month when I'll have more info on Rage; maybe that will help you make your decision about whether you want to read the books or not!

    I'm absolutely enjoying Wizard's First Rule. I'm glad I'm finally reading it! I'm on page...um, 200-something atm. I had to put it down to pick up an ARC that was expiring and a book for an upcoming interview, and I'm about to participate in something big, which will limit what I read in April. But I can't wait to get back to it! I just bought nine of the books in hardcover used for $19.08 after tax, too! And then I bought the remaining three used online through Abe Books and Amazon. The shipping cost more than the books... All together, I paid under $40 for all 12 in HC! One of my co-workers gave me a high-value BN coupon this past weekend, so I pre-ordered the new book for $8 something after tax. Hopefully I'll be caught up by then!
