Teaser Tuesday (60)

We're very excited to be one of the many blogs participating in Teaser Tuesdays! TT is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. To participate you:

1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3. Pick out two (2) "teaser" sentences that are SPOILER FREE
4. Name the title & author so others can add it to their TBR list

And here is this week's teaser:

The town does not look solid from up here. It seems naught but a jumble of toothpick thatch and parchment wall that I could grind beneath my heel while it begs for clemency. Or I could put my arms around it and protect it, like a child with a block castle when the dog walks by.

p. 143 (ARC) of The Wicked and the Just by J. Anderson Coats

Please leave a comment letting us know what you think! Also, tell us your teasers... post them or link to your blog.

  1. Interesting the way it captures both the urge to destroy and to protect.
